Owner Kathy (Marsico-Kaminski) welcomes you to enjoy a meal at Ladles, where we strive to deliver quality means and great service at an affordable price. Ladles is a place where you’ll enjoy homemade soups, sandwiches, luscious desserts and fantastic dinner entrees featuring selections of fresh pastas, seafood, veal and steaks.

Kathy opened her first Ladles restaurant in Arnold, Pa., where it began as a small breakfast and lunch café. Ever the entrepreneur, she decided to quell her passion for cooking and create the Ladles concept.

The original Ladles restaurant featured numerous homemade soups and luscious sandwiches on homemade Syrian bread. Decadent desserts, enormous salads and hearty breakfast fare rounded out the menu, thus making this little hometown spot a popular place to dine.

Ladles now offers lunch and dinner at the Springdale location. The Ladles logo is very well known. Kathy is actually knowing in many places as the “Ladles Soup Lady”. In addition to the restaurant, Kathy published her fist cookbook and hosted a local TV show!

For Kathy, cooking is not work, but her own sort of therapy. She feels that creating a wholesome and delicious meal is the same as painting a portrait. It soothes the soul, fills the belly, and the next day, a new canvas is waiting.

Growing up strictly Italian, Kathy was inspired and enlightened by her mother, Paulina. Her mother offered a lot of assistance and inspiration to her overly ambitious daughters.
